Set twenty-two years in the future in a world drastically altered by climate change, a small group of women are working tirelessly to keep bee populations alive. When a former co-worker dies in the synthetic apiary where they work, Zora and Pilar discover an unconventional but effective way to allow the bees to thrive. As news of this revolutionary method spreads and the demand for continued success grows, the women must decide where their moral boundaries lie and how they can make a difference as time ticks down.
