It's 2018 in a one-stoplight-town in Georgia and it's brutal out here. High school juniors Raelynn, Beth, Nell, and Ivy navigate their shifting personal lives while starting a Feminism Club and grappling with the ways their English lit study of The Crucible aligns with a literal witchhunt in their community. The return of their friend Shelby, who has been away for unknown reasons, brings to light revelations that crack open the quiet teenage existence of this group of friends, and everyone has to grow up and face reality.

John Proctor is the Villain premiered at the Studio Theatre in Washington, D.C. in 2022.
